Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using photogroups.app. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. About the Service

Photo Groups ("the Service") is a web-based tool that allows wedding couples to organize guests into photo groups and share a custom lookup link with their guests. The Service is operated by DJ Rahul ("we", "us", or "our") at photogroups.app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

3. Account and Purchase

  • You agree to provide accurate information when purchasing the Service
  • Each purchase grants access to the Service for one (1) wedding event
  • Your custom guest lookup link is active for 90 days from the date of purchase
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials

4. Payment

  • The Service is available for a one-time fee of $25.00 USD per wedding
  • Payment is processed securely by Stripe
  • All prices are in US dollars
  • We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Price changes do not affect purchases already made

5. No Refund Policy

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds under any circumstances.

This includes but is not limited to:

  • Change of mind after purchase
  • Wedding cancellation or postponement
  • Failure to use the Service before your wedding date
  • Dissatisfaction with the Service
  • Technical issues caused by your own device or internet connection
  • Accidental purchases

By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and agree to this no-refund policy.

If you experience a technical issue with the Service that prevents it from functioning as described, please contact support@photogroups.app within 48 hours and we will work to resolve it.

6. No Data Backup

Photo Groups does not back up your data.

This means:

  • Guest data uploaded via CSV is not backed up by us
  • In the event of data loss, service interruption, technical failure, or account termination, we cannot restore or recover your guest list or photo group assignments
  • You are solely responsible for maintaining your own backup copies of all data you upload to the Service
  • We strongly recommend you retain your original CSV file at all times

We are not liable for any data loss. By using the Service, you acknowledge and accept this limitation.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Upload data you do not have the right to use
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service
  • Use the Service to collect or harvest personal data beyond your own wedding guests
  • Resell or transfer your access to the Service to another party without our written consent
  • Use automated tools to access or scrape the Service

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and materials on photogroups.app are owned by or licensed to Photo Groups. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

Your guest data remains yours. We claim no ownership over the names or information you upload.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Defects will be corrected
  • The Service is free of viruses or harmful components
  • Results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Photo Groups and its operators shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Loss of data, revenue, profits, or business opportunities
  • Damages arising from your use or inability to use the Service
  • Any issues arising from third-party services including Stripe, MongoDB, or Vercel

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service ($25.00).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Photo Groups and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services including Stripe (payments), MongoDB Atlas (data storage), and Vercel (hosting). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the actions or policies of these third parties.

13. Service Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the Service. We may suspend or discontinue the Service at any time with or without notice. We are not liable for any inconvenience or loss caused by service downtime or discontinuation.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. We will post the updated Terms on this page with a new date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New York.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Photo Groups regarding your use of the Service.
